Vidyadhar Durgekar, a published author, is an engineer by qualification hailing from the town of Karwar, Karnataka, served in Indian Coast Guard as an Uniformed Officer. Sailed the blue ocean for more than a decade and then hanging his boots; joined Corporates in India and abroad before settling down in Bangalore working as a system auditor and trainer in a multinational company. During these adventures at sea and on shore found himself in the world of words. He has been writing poetry from many years; few of which were published in poetry magazines. Collection of his selected poems are published in the book titled "Beyond wild blue yonder". His first novel "Sale of souls" was widely acclaimed for its new challenging theme of the conflicts between development and poverty. His second novel "Cricket is my religion" will be coming soon.
